Remembrance Poem

We should wear our poppies, on remembrance day

Soldiers had to go to war, tey wished that they could stay

Wives and children were so sad, they watched their men leave

So mothers had to go to work, when men were lost, they grieved.

Why do you cry willlows?

We represent the people who cried when men left for the war

Why are you red poppies?

We represent the blood and lost lives in the war

So all we ask is to wear your poppy and pay respect to the people who lost their lives for us.

Death tries to break but all in vain

To have, to love and then to part

Is the greatest sorrow of one's heart

The years may wipe out many things

But this they wipe out never

The memory of those happy days

When we were all together

For all of the injured and dead bodies

We will take two minutes of silence for our loved ones

R ubble and debris for all to see

I t started all for nothing

S uddenly lives are lost

B loodshed everywhere

A narachy as far as you can see

D eath and destruction are not good for you
